24 years in recruitment and 11 years working for myself; I love working with an amazing team at Expedient Recruitment.

After “falling into” recruitment, like a lot of people, I was fortunate enough to find my passion in building relationships with people and seeing projects through to completion. Darren and I set Expedient Recruitment up to try and change the status quo in recruitment; we wanted to make a difference and we work with our team tirelessly every day, to ensure people are looked after. I am very lucky to have a wonderful 22 year old son who lives and works in London, a passion for Liverpool football club, fantastic family and friends who have supported me throughout my career and a business that makes every day different, challenging and rewarding.

My two main quotes that I endeavour to live by are “it’s nice to be nice” and “what’s the worst that can happen” – they have stood me in great stead.

We offer a dedicated approach to recruitment

I’ve been in recruitment for 22 years. Andrea and I set up Expedient Recruitment in 2008 with the aim to make a difference to both clients and candidates. I feel that we do that every single day as we treat everybody as we wish to be treated ourselves and always go that extra mile.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing team around me. Running your own business is hard to find people that care about your business like you do, but I have to say every single one of the team care like I do about people. I love coming to work and seeing the team develop every single day and my aim is to continue to make them the best they can be at what they do. I am the only male in a team of eight which has its challenges, but I wouldn’t change it one bit!! I just wish they would talk more about football!!

In my spare time I’m a season ticket holder for Coventry City football club. I’m also a Trustee for a local community centre and do voluntary work. I always remember where I came from and it’s so good to be able to have an opportunity to give something back to the community that I was brought up in. I’m also a keen cyclist and later this year I will be doing the London to Paris cycle ride. The money I raised will be going towards the community centre to help the young people of the area. I also go to the gym three times per week.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing team around me. Running your own business is hard to find people that care about your business like you do, but I have to say every single one of the team care like I do about people.

Michelle Docherty

Business Development Manager

With 22 years experience in the industry, recruitment is my way of life now; and I wouldn’t have it any other way! It’s so rewarding knowing that, I have helped so many candidates find the “right” job, with the perfect Client.

My formula to this success is listening and understanding the need of both candidate and Client. By considering these needs, I can best appreciate their culture and values allowing me to get the placement right first time. From this foundation I have gone on to build strong and trusting local links, building a reputation of reliability with candidates and clients alike.

Life is quite hectic away from work - A mother of two and four, yes four!!!! Beautiful Grand Daughters under the age of 3!! I have strong family values and truly believe that wealth is measured by happiness! Life is never dull.

The great outdoors and culture are my passions. I have been lucky enough to travel to faraway places, experiencing some magical events and cultures. The world is a beautiful place no matter where you go, there’s always something to see/learn and experience. Makes me soooo grateful for things in my life!

I also like house renovation. Its quite a joke with my children. Whenever I move, the house is ripped to bits; literately. I finished my current property last year so might be time to stop now – I’m getting old!

I believe in maintaining a hands-on approach to the development of the business

Hi! I’m Kat! I have been working in recruitment for over 5 years now and have been part of the Expedient Team for the last 3.5.

I feel that I have developed and learned a lot in the last few years and could not be more fortunate to have the most supporting work-family around me. I love going to work in the mornings and I think that in itself is worth a thousand words.

My spare time revolves around my dogs and hobby photography and trying to entwine the two (although I think the dogs have had enough of this malarkey). Also, I am 6’2” (just so you know if we were ever to meet).

I love going to work in the mornings and I think that in itself is worth a thousand words.

I joined Expedient as a temporary administrator and now 4 years later, it’s safe to say I have the ‘recruitment bug’. I try to offer a fresh perspective on recruitment whilst continuously learning through my colleagues.

Working in recruitment is fast paced, so it’s no surprise that when it comes to the weekend I love nothing more than eating my entire body weight in food and completing an entire season of Game of Thrones in one sitting..

The Expedient team have taught me a lot in a short amount of time and I am extremely grateful to not only be part of a team, but part of a growing family.

Klara Bartfai

Payroll/Administrator

Expedient work determinedly with their clients to ensure that the service provided is adapted and tailor-made to individual needs.

The last 16 years I lived abroad and 5 years ago moved back to the UK. After a long journey I started working in payroll, gained lots of experience, and still like this field. I’m looking forward to continually working with Expedient family and learning more about our new in-house system.

In my free time I like cooking and baking, exploring the country side and going camping with my family.

My little girl keeps me busy all the time, I enjoy drawing and playing with her and reading her Hungarian stories.

I’m looking forward to continually working with the Expedient family .

I enjoy working alongside a close knit efficient Team, that make coming to work a joy. m.

I am also a mother of two young boys and compared to looking after them, recruitment is a breeze. In my spare time (if I am lucky) I like to squeeze in a refreshing nap. .
